As a Chapter Leader at Heart Link Network Worldwide (HLNW), Laurie has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and unwavering dedication to the organization’s mission. Laurie, a successful professional woman had a deep dark secret that traumatized her over her a lifetime. She was physically and emotionally abused by a family member for over a decade. This left her feeling unheard, broken, and powerless. In addition, she struggled with anxiety, depression, and migraines. She was embarrassed, shamed, bullied, and scared for her life and all those emotions led to her finding it very difficult to trust others. As she got older and realized what he was doing to her she told all the appropriate authorities, but no one listened or believed her. Along the way, there were times when she even doubted herself, and times when she felt overwhelmed by the magnitude of the work she was doing trying to move forward and heal. She wondered if it was worth going through the trouble as it seemed as though no one cared if she lived or died.
Despite the challenges she faced over her lifetime, Laurie discovered that she had a powerful gift inside of her when something was off. She listened to her body and that inner voice. She trusted her instincts as they had never failed her of what was right or wrong even when they went against conventional wisdom. This skill has proved to be a crucial asset as she worked to heal. Through years of therapy and self-reflection, Laurie learned to embrace her inner voice and strengths. She discovered that she had a talent for helping others understand what emotional and physical trauma is about. Laurie pursued a career in cosmetology and loved making women feel beautiful. Although cosmetology was a start, she embarked on going back to college and earning her MBA and a certification in cybersecurity and earned her certificate as a life and wellness coach. Drawing on her intuition and her own experiences, she has helped many women to connect with their inner voices and strengths to move towards greater healing and empowerment while letting their voices lead.
Today, Laurie continues to coach women throughout the world and is a respected member of the coaching and mentor community. She is partners in hope with Destiny’s Rescue, Golden House (Green Bay), and Safe Haven (Shawano). She is known for her love, compassion, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to helping women heal from their traumas. She continues to rely on her given talents for embracing her internal instincts and thoughts to guide her in the work she continues to do supporting women through trauma.

❤️ One of the things I LOVE about the way we structure this type of networking event is that instead of having a spotlight speaker take up a significant amount of focus and time, each woman in our group has 2 minutes to share. Everyone gets equal time to talk about their business, what they do, and how they contribute to the community and other people’s lives with their products or services. I truly believe it’s a huge key to why these meetings are so impactful.
